Here I will explained a typical wood vivarium that I alwayes used and build :
Structure :
Liner will be applied
Cover is fixed
In this vivarium We will build similar tropical to the previous vivariums ..
You can see other project for more information :
2- Combined 4 vivariums into converted clothes cabinet ..
3- Wood Vivarium : calotes mystaceus enclosure
1-First of all I gather all the wood sheets together and take the measurement to fit in the frame or the rack .. Simply I will make wood box .
This vivarium will devided by wood sheet to two Not equal parts One 60 % for the calotes mystaceus and the 40% will be for the Tokay Gecko
Makin tape I use it to support the wood sheet for better angle shape
I use angles and screws to fix all the parts and to make tough to pull , rise and turn ..
Also I used some wood pieces with screws to attached two pieces
3- Electricals :
The lights bulbs will be mounted in side of the void up the screen or the chicken wire with from access of 10 cm .. You can make it large if you have large lights also you can make it vertical ..
2- Drain holes will be cut by using power drill with the hole saw
Drain hole size .
can be cut by hole saw with power drill .
The outlet can be connected with half inch pipe fitting adapter
Tip : What the hole saw look like and how to work with it ?

How to use a hole saw
4- After the wiring is finished and the lights is tested
Cover the wires and the sockets by Aluminum tape for protection
after that you can close the upper cover ..
Lights bulbs mounted by screws
Lights bulb or socket ( ceramics ) for High output ..
Support wood sheet or Bar for the vivarium ..
I open other opening for the drain here because the one I made , I discover will come clashing with rack support beam
15 Amp Electrical Strip Connector
Terminal block or Wire connector : used when you want to merge seperate lights bulbs or devices into one wire ..
Watch the tutorial video below ..
WARNING : BE SURE FROM THE ELCETRICAL DEVICES , TERMINAL AND THE WIRES THAT CAN CARRY THE ELECTRICAL LOAD .. IF NOT THESE DIFFERENT SIZES OF WIRES , TERMINALS FOR DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL LOAD CONSUMPTION..
Tip !

6- Now a cover of Black cement on the wood will be enough to cover and hide all the silicon wood pieces .. etc .
Use brush or painters brush with only miture of black cement and water ..
Use same angles to fix the cover
Silicon to close all grooves or small openings
Wires out ..One for the Tokay gecko partion and the other for the calotes mystaceus enclosure .
It is prefer to put special wire for the ceramics light holder or the high output socket ..
Opening for ventilation or you can put a ventilation fan
5- Liner will be applied and installed using screws and tape .. Then I put another layer of Plastic sheet just for double protection ..
Sometimes I used plastic sheet only as a liner ..
7- Brown color painting: Now by use normal brush you can apply the brown cement color or any color that you want .. You can also skip the step above and add normal oil paint from any degree of coloration you want ..
Also you can fix some vines, trunks or and leaves just to add a tropical sense ..
General view for my reptiles room in September 2017 ..
In some cases and Due to some wrong measurement .. You need to break some pieces of cement or the frame cement cover to install the tank inside the frame or rack .. then you can Re build again ..
